Bristol Cathedral

Friday, 4 April 2014

We are not religious but I do love looking around old Churches - all of the history they hold makes them fascinating places.

And Bristol Cathedral is no exception - it is a beautiful building, sitting proudly on College Green and at over 700 years old is definitely an old beauty!

Inside it is grand and the hushed sounds add to it being a special place. We love looking at all the amazing statues and there is a really lovely outside space with tables for a picnic, or there is a small cafe for tea and cake.

We particularly love the post-1940s stained glass windows to celebrate all of those who helped in the war effort. And they are painted from real people so a great talking point with children.

An inspiring building full of gorgeous architectural details.
